TOWN OF CORTLANDVILLE
AQUIFER PROTECTION PERMIT
PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 178-46 of the Code of the Town of
Cortlandville, a public hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville,
County of Cortland, New York, at the Raymond G. Thorpe Municipal Building located at 3577
Terrace Road, Town of Cortlandville, New York, on July 19, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., concerning an
application for an Aquifer Protection Permit.
The application is by Cortlandville PV, LLC for the purpose of developing a five megawatt
ground mounted large scale solar energy system, accessory access driveway, and security
fencing encompassing approximately 33.0+/- acres. The applicant is the owner of the property,
which is described as 3023 Route 215, just southwest of the intersection of Gallagher Road,
Route 215, and Ely Road, tax map #106.00-03-13.000.
The property is located within Area 3: Tributary Watershed Areas of the Aquifer Protection
District of the Town of Cortlandville, is located within Zone 2 of the Town’s Wellhead
Protection Zone, and is in a Zoning District denominated AG (Agricultural).
At the time and place of said hearing all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity
to be heard.
