ELECTION OF CHAIRPERSON Commissioner Eastman made a motion to elect Commissioner Richardson as Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 4, 2003 meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. NEW BUSINESS New Position Duties Statement: Ithaca Police Department—Data Entry Specialist The Commission reviewed and discussed a New Position Duties Statement from the Ithaca Police Department. Commissioner Eastman made a motion to classify the position as Data Entry Specialist. Seconded by Commissioner Richardson. Motion carried 2-0. CONTINUING BUSINESS Commissioner Richardson made a motion to go into executive session to discuss civil service examination matters. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. During executive session, the Commission took the following actions: Approval of Rosters of Candidates for Examination Commissioner Richardson made a motion to approve the Rosters of Candidates for Examination listed below. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. Seconded by Commissioner Eastman. Motion carried 2-0. Report on Addition of Names to Continuous Recruitment Eligible Lists in December 2003: Deputy Director Saul reported that the following names were added to the continuous recruitment eligible lists indicated, during the month of December 2003.
