Pez eIfive Secretary REGULAR MEETING CITY OF ITHACA CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION February 13, 1985 Present: Commissioner Slaght, Commissioner Schickel , Executive Secretary Pezdek Commissioner Slaght called the meeting to order at 8:07 P.M. NEW BUSINESS APPROVAL OF MINUTES AND OF PUBLIC HEARING Commissioner Schickel moved that the minutes of the public hearing of January 8, and the minutes of the Commission's meeting of the same date be approved. Seconded by Commissioner Slaght. Motion carried. ANNUAL REPORT Executive Secretary Pezdek presented the annual report for 1984 to the Commission and reviewed it with the Commission. Commissioner Slaght moved that the annual i report for 1984 be approved. Seconded by Commissioner Schickel . Motion carried. RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR TAKING THE YOUTH BUREAU DIRECTOR EXAMINATION Commissioner Slaght moved that the residency requirement for taking the examination be that candidates must be residents of New York State. Seconded by Commissioner Schickel . Motion carried. ELIGIBLE LISTS Commissioner Schickel moved that the following eligible lists be established effective February 12, 1985 and that they be in existence for one year unless exhausted sooner: Youth Development Program Supervisor, No. 70-042, Prom. , and Deputy Director of Planning and Development, No. 69-517. Seconded by Commissioner Slaght. The Commission reviewed the eligible lists then voted. Motion carried. ROSTERS OF CANDIDATES Commissioner Slaght moved that the following Rosters of Candidates for examination be approved: School Bus Route Coordinator, No. 70-676, Prom. ; and Administrative Assistant, No. 60-370. Seconded by Commissioner Schickel . The Commission reviewed the rosters then voted. Motion carried. NEW POSITION DUTIES STATEMENT - YOUTH WORKER - G. I .A.C. The Commission reviewed the New Position Duties Statement and the accompanying memorandum. Commissioner Schickel moved to table the matter until the next meeting in order to have Youth Bureau Director Cutia present. Seconded by Commissioner Schickel . Motion carried. CONTINUNING BUSINESS PERSONNEL ACTIONS Commissioner Schickel moved that the following personnel actions be approved effective on the date shown for each and further that the Authorization for Personnel Action section on the roster card read CSC Min 2/12/85 due to the postponing of the Commissions 's meeting from February 12 to the 13th due to Lincoln's Birthday holiday.
