CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
November 20, 1995

Commissioner Bantuvanis called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Perko made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 10,
1995 Civil Service Commission meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis.
Motion carried 2-0.
NEW BUSINESS
REVISION OF BUILDING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC JOB DESCRIPTION (ICSD)
The Commission reviewed a revised version of the Building Maintenance
Mechanic job description. The Ithaca City School District has requested
permission to use the revised version. The Ithaca Housing Authority will
continue to use the existing version. The two versions are similar in scope
and represent the same type and level of work. The Ithaca City School
District version is more specific to the Ithaca City School District and its
operations. Commissioner Perko made a motion to adopt the revised version of
the Building Maintenance Mechanic job description for use in the Ithaca City
School District. The revised version will replace previous versions at the
Ithaca City School District. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion
carried 2-0.
CONTINUING BUSINESS
Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss
civil service examination matters. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis.
Motion carried 2-0.
APPROVAL OF PERSONNEL TRANSACTIONS
Commissioner Perko made a motion to approve the Personnel Transactions listed
below. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion carried 2-0.

CORRECTION OF SCORE ON CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT ELIGIBLE LISTS
Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to correct Wendy Udall's scores on the
Senior Typist Promotional Eligible List #45-000a and School Secretary
Promotional Eligible List #45-000b from 76 to 80. The new score reflects the
inclusion of the appropriate, number of seniority points. Seconded by
Commissioner Perko. Motion carried 2-0.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:34 a.m.
