Commissioner Bantuvanis called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.
NEW POSITION DUTIES STATEMENT: TYPIST - BUILDING DEPARTMENT
The Commission reviewed a New Position Duties Statement from the Building
Department to classify a full-time typist position. Commissioner Perko made
a motion to classify the position as Typist. Seconded by Commissioner
Bantuvanis. Motion carried 2-0.
NEW POSITION DUTIES STATEMENT: ACCOUNT CLERK-TYPIST - ICSD
The Commission reviewed a New Position Duties Statement from the Ithaca City
School District. Commissioner Perko made a motion to classify the position
as Account Clerk-Typist. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion
carried 2-0.
REQUEST TO ACCEPT LATE APPLICATION FOR TENANT RELATIONS ASSISTANT EXAM NO.
71-144
Personnel Administrator Saul explained to the Commission that a promotional
examination was being offered for the Tenant Relations Assistant examination
and there was a misunderstanding with one of the candidates as to the filing
deadline date. Ms. Tanner is requesting her late application be accepted.
Personnel Administrator Saul supports granting Ms. Tanner's request.
Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to accept Kathleen Tanner's application
for Tenant Relations Assistant Exam No. 71-144. Seconded by Commissioner
Perko. Motion carried 2-0.
REQUEST TO WAIVE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR SUPERVISOR OF STREETS POSITION
Personnel Administrator Saul explained to the Commission that an examination
was held for the Supervisor of Streets position on June 3, 1995, and only one
candidate is on the eligible list. Superintendent of Public Works Gray would
like to advertise for this position, and is requesting that the Commission
waive the residency requirement to allow an adequate pool of applicants to
apply for this position. Commissioner Perko made a motion to waive the
residency requirement. Seconded by Commissioner Bantuvanis. Motion carried
2-0.
CONTINUING BUSINESS
Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss
civil service examination matters. Seconded by Commissioner Perko. Motion
carried 2-0.
APPROVAL OF PERSONNEL TRANSACTIONS
Commissioner Bantuvanis made a motion to approve the Personnel Transactions
listed below. Seconded by Commissioner Perko. Motion carried 2-0.

examination. Seconded by Commissioner Perko. Motion carried 2-0.
