TOWN BOARD MINUTES
NOVEMBER 22 , 1971
The Special Meeting of the Town of Danby Town Board was held in
the West Danby Fire Hall , November 22 , 1971 , at 7 : 30 P . M .
Board members present : Supervisor Donald Makie
Councilman Gerald Crance
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Justice Floyd Dorn
Also present : Water Commissioners Louis Sinn , George Armstrong ,
Gene Gray , Ken Colburn , and Perry Crance , Mr . Richard Thaler ,
Attorney George Pfann , Richard Blatchley , Roy & Mary Casterline ,
Walter Chapman , Frances Todd , Janice and Milton Todd .

The purpose of the Special Meeting was a Public Hearing regarding
Resolution #15 regarding the DHS & RGB Holding Company .
Attorney George Pfann briefly explained the drawings and proposal
and the fact that the Holding Company would bear all the costs of
installation , etc . , for the extension of the Water District .
Mr . Schlieder made a report and detailed his qualifications . He
is a licensed land surveyor , State of New York License No . 043780
and a Physical Engineer . He gave facts as stated in the previous
minutes of the November 8 , 1971 , meeting .
A question was raised regarding future fire protection .
Attorney Richard Thaler pointed out the amortization rates and
the possibility of dropping the Ad- Valorem Tax .
A recess was called to allow the public tb examine the maps .
Supervisor Makie called the meeting back to order . There were no
questions . Supervisor Makie stated that Tom Miller is reviewing
the plans to protect the Town and the West Danby Water District . _
He has no report ready at this time .
The FHA has no objections to the proposed extension . A letter was
read from Mr . B . J . Osadchey ;
Mr . Blatchely asked when he can start digging . Attorney Thaler
stated that he must wait for the referendum vote .
Another Special Meeting will be held at the Danby Elementary School on November 29 , 1971 , at 8 P . M . r ' , 04 a..-- I l�,l , c, _

A motion was made and seconded and duly carried • • a vote of four
ayes and no noes to adjourn the meeting .
The meeting was adjourned at 8 : 30 pm .
