Cortland County Accepting Proposals for Opioid
Settlement Funds
CORTLAND, NY – Cortland County is soliciting proposals from organizations serving Cortland County
that have a desire to address treatment and prevention of opioid and related substance use. Proposals must
show how you will address opioid use prevention, harm reduction and/or treatment among residents of
Cortland County, with particular focus on the populations at greatest risk.
Community-based organizations, including not-for-profits, now have the opportunity to submit proposals
to request one-time funds to be used for the purpose of substance use prevention and treatment. Proposals
will be accepted until 4:30 PM, October 2, 2023. The following should be included in any proposal
submitted:
• Contact information
• What the funding will be used for?
• What is the perceived impact of the project?
• How will the project benefit the community?
• What amount are you requesting?
• Are there other grants available to fund this project?
• Have you applied for any grants to fund this project?

All proposals will be reviewed by the Cortland County Opioid Settlement Fund Committee. Any person(s)
or entity submitting an acceptable proposal will receive a phone call to schedule a time to present the
proposal to the Committee.
