The Board of Public Works meets on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 4:45 p.m. All meetings are voting meetings, which opens with a public comment period. Meeting agendas are created from prior public input, Department operating and planning issues, and requests made to the Superintendent. The Board reserves the right to limit verbal comments to three minutes and to request written comments on lengthy or complex issues. This information may then be used to create committee agendas, with the speaker or author invited to attend. Page 3 Notes for BPW Agenda, Date 3.1 Special Presentation: Delta Engineers will present an update on the Clinton Street Bridge/Prospect Street Reconstruction Project at 5:00 p.m. 8.4A Negative Declaration of Environmental Significance for East Clinton Street Bridge Replacement and Prospect Street Reconstruction Project – Resolution Delta Engineers and Addisu Gebre will update the Board on this project prior to a public information meeting that will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room. I asked them to provide an update to the Board of Public Works at 5:00 p.m. While I don’t believe there are any surprises. The Board is well aware of the project in this early phase of the project (Design Report to NYSDOT). However, I thought a briefing would be valuable because we have spent so much time getting the environmental review completed. The corrected/updated environmental assessment form and the related resolution will be forwarded electronically as soon as staff has a chance to meet with the City Attorney. We will provide a red line version of the material based on those documents available for the October 20, 2010 meeting, with hard copies provided at the October 27, 2010 meeting. 9.5A Water Plant Pilot Study Report – Presentation We have provided copies of the Membrane Pilot Testing Report, draft, dated October 12, 2010. The five appendices are not copied here. I have asked Kathy to forward the entire document electronically. We will provide hard copies of the appendices upon request. Rick Gell (O’Brien & Gere) and Ben Movahed (Watek) will make a presentation to the Board and then lead the discussion on the pilot plant testing. W.J. Gray, P.E. Superintendent of Public Works October 22, 2010
