The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairperson Monica Carey.

PPROVAL OF INUTES PRIL
A motion was made by Member Barb Clark to approve the Town Planning Board Minutes of 21 April
2005, as submitted. The motion was seconded by Member Tom Guihan, with the vote recorded as
follows:
Ayes: Chair Carey Nays: None
Member Baxendell
Member Clark Absent: Member Albro
Member Guihan Member Gloster
Member Haines
Motion carried.
This becomes Action #20 of 2005.

PPROVAL OF INUTES AY
A motion was made by Member Mark Baxendell to approve the Town Planning Board Minutes of 5
May 2005, as submitted. The motion was seconded by Member Clark, with the vote recorded as
follows:
Ayes: Chair Carey Nays: None

Member Clark Absent: Member Albro
Member Guihan Member Gloster
Member Haines
Motion carried.
This becomes Action #20 of 2005.

RIVILEGE OF THE LOOR OWN UPERVISOR LEN OREY
Supervisor Morey advised that there was a Special Honor to be shared with everyone who was
present at this meeting—Chairman Monica Carey had served the Town of Groton for 20 years, taking
on controversial issues, giving up personal time, giving the community the benefit of her leadership,
and taking on additional requests such as development of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan.
Supervisor Morey added that the Town Board, and the community, wanted to say “thank you,” and
he presented her with a beautifully framed Certificate of Appreciation recognizing her service as a

member of the Planning Board since March 12, 1985, and serving as Chairperson since 2000. The
presentation was followed with a congratulatory cake and lemonade which was enjoyed by everyone
present.

Walpole Real Estate, Applicant/Harold & Ruth Bernhardt, ROs – West Groton Road – Part of TM
#22.-1-15 – Boundary Line Change
Chair Carey recognized Bob Walpole, representing the owners who were seeking approval to add an
additional 100 feet of road frontage to that parcel indicated as “Parcel C” on a survey map of Lands of
Harold A. & Ruth G. Bernhardt, as prepared by Michael Reagan, PLS, and dated 11/2003, a copy of
which accompanied the application. The additional 100 feet would be taken from the remaining
Bernhardt property to the south. The resulting addition would make the former 3± acre parcel 4.67±
acres with a road frontage of 300± feet. Remaining acreage of the Bernhardt farm would be 160±
acres according to Mr. Walpole.
A motion was made by Member Janice Haines to approve the Boundary Line Change, as requested.
The motion was seconded by Member Guihan, with the vote recorded as follows:

Motion carried.

At 7:50 p.m., a motion was made by Member Guihan to adjourn the meeting. The motion was
seconded by Member Clark, with all members present voting in favor.
