Re: Notices Regarding Solar Energy Project Pursuant to Real Property Tax Law & 487 Cortlandville PV. LLC Dear Supervisor Williams: Please be advised that our office represents Cortlandville PV, LLC. On behalf of Cortlandville PV, LLC, I write to inform you of Cortlandville PV, LLC's plan to construct an approximate 5.0 MW AC solar project within the Town of Cortlandville to be located at 3023 Route 215, tax map number 106.00-03-13.1, which would occupy approximately 32.1 acres of an 78.75 acre parcel. We are providing this notice to you pursuant to Real Property Tax Law § 487(8)(b) to inform you that Cortlandville PV, LLC has entered into an interconnection agreement related to this project and made its deposit with National Grid. This signifies the beginning of construction as defined under Real Property Tax Law § 487(8)(b). We are also providing this letter to you as our Notice of Intent to Construct this solar system, which commences the sixty-day notice period under Real Property Tax Law § 487(9)(a). The Town has sixty days to respond in writing with its intent to require a contract for payments in lieu of taxes, otherwise such Project shall not be obligated to make such payments. We have commenced the permitting process at the above site and believe it is a very good location at which to build clean, distributed, renewable energy projects, which will benefit the Town of Cortlandville. All physical construction will commence upon receipt of all applicable governmental permits.
