MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE DANBY PLANNING BOARD ,
SEPTEMBER 9 , 1970
Present : Myers , Smith , Weitzel , Olsen , and Kirk
Also present : G . Roberts , John Rance , Robert Eckert
Minutes-of-previous-meeting approved as read .
J ohn Rance and Robert Eckert presented proposal for a snow -
mobile track in the Town of Danby using a land area of roughly
1300 x 1500 feet , part of parcel number 23 - 1 - 10 , Town of Danby
Tax Map , and asked the Planning Board ' s approval of a Special .
Permit for said proposal as required by the Zoning Ordinance .
After discussion and deliberation Paul Smith moved that the
Planning Board approve the application for a Special Permit
by John Rance and Robert Eckert as so described above and as
d etailed on submitted plans . Seconded by Mildred Weitzel .
Motion passed , five ayes , 0 noes .
G ordon Roberts reviewed various legal difficulties he was
encountering in his role as zoning officer in substantiating
zoning violations . It was again emphasized by the board that
it would be most willing to share the services of an attorney
and the resulting costs at a joint meeting of the Town Planning
Board , Zoning Board of Appeals , and Zoning Officer in an effort . .
to have pertinent legal questions answered .
Meeting was adjourned .
