August 19 , 1970
A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Danby was
held at the Danby Town Hall , August 19 , 1970 at 8 : 00 P . M .
Present : Supervisor Donald Makie
Councilman Gerald Crance
Justice Floyd Dorn
Justice A . Francis Wright
iAbsent : Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Supervisor Makie called the Special Meeting to order .
Justice Wright moved to waive the three -day notice of a
Special Meeting . Seconded by Crance . 4 ayes , 0 noes , carried .
RESOLUTION # 15 CHANGE IN ASSESSED VALUE OF THE WEST DANBY
CHURCHES
Councilman Wright moved that Resolution # 5 be ammended to change
the assessed valuation of the old West Danby Baptist Church to
$ 3 , 770 . 00 and the new West Danby Baptist Church to $ 30 , 18Q . 00
in the West Danby Water District . Also , to have new tax bills
prepared to supersede previous bills . Seconded by Crance .

TOWN OF DANBY
Resolution No . 16
WHEREAS the Planning Board in and for the Town of Danby
and the Planning Board in and for the County of Tompkins has made
a study of the proposed use of land owned by Clifford and Edward
Hill located in the Town of Danby , and
WHEREAS the owners of said property have indicated that they
are desirous of using said property for a mobile court pursuant
to the plans and specifications submitted to said Planning Board ,
and
WHEREAS said Planning Boards of the County and of the Town
have recommended to the Town Board of the Town of Danby that an
amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Danby be passed
permitting a planned development district in the area hereinafter
described , and
WHEREAS pursuant to the said Zoning Ordinance any proposed

amendment recommended by the Planning . Board shall be submitted to
a public hearing .
NOW THEREFORE , pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance of the
Town of Danby , duly adopted August 1 , 1969 , and in
effect at this time and pursuant to the Town Law , Sections 264
and 265 , be it
RESOLVED that a public hearing be held on September 14 ,
1970 at 7 : 00 p . m . at the Town of Danby Town Hall , at which . time
representatives of the Planning Boards of the Town of Danby and
of Tompkins County be present and explain the recommended change
in the zoning map covering the specific property hereinafter
described making said area a planned development district , and

IIIRESOLVED that the cost of publication , printing and alterati • n
of the zoning map if such is approved upon the vote of the Town

Board subsequent to the public hearing be assessed to and paid by
the developers of said proposed district , and be it further
RESOLVED that the Town Clerk shall pursuant to law ,

publish Notice of Hearing at least ten days prior to the said time
and date of the said hearing and give written notice pursuant to
Article 11 , Section 1100 , paragraphs 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Town of Danby insofar as they may apply .
The boundaries of the proposed planned development district
are . as follows :
ALL THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND situate in
the Town of Danby , Tompkins County , New York
bounded and described as follows : Beginning
at the intersection of the center line of the
highway known as South Danby Road (County Rte .
125 ) and the center line of New YorktState
Rte . 96B ; thence west 1187 feet , more or less ,
along the center line of Rte . 96B ; thence
south 2 ° west , 2500 feet , more or less ; thence
south 88k° east to the center line of South
Danby Road ; thence north along the center line
of said South Danby Road to the place of begin-
ning . - .
Reference is hereby made to the tax map in and
for the Town of Danby , page 20 , lot 1 , parcels
4 . 1 , 4 . 2 , 4 . 3, 5 and 6 .
Reference is also made to a deed dated Decem-
ber 27 , 1949 to Donald Edward Hill from Floyd
H . Hoover , recorded in the Tompkins County
Clerk ' s office in Liber 328 of Deeds at page
112 .
The above resolution was made by Justice A . Francis Wright
seconded by Justice Floyd Dorn and unanimously passed
by said Town Board .
