MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE DANBY PLANNING-BOARD , .
August 12 , 1970

from Brown Road , and Edward Hill
Minutes—of previous meeting approved as read .
Mr . Hill presented his redesigned plans for the boardts con -
sideration . It was revealed that Mr . Hill had deposited copies
of the plans with the office of the Tompkins County Department
of Planning , and that after careful study three suggested .
alternate plans showing minor changes were developed . These
three alternate proposals were also presented, by the chairman ,
as were the reasons given by the county planners for the sug -
gested changes . After discussion on the matter M . Weitzel moved
that , subject to approval by the board of health , the submitted .
plan by Clifford and Edward Hill for a Planned Development District .
on South Danby Road for a mobile court be approved , as amended .
to show the changes incorporated in HVA3 , " Proposal Alternate #3 " , .
. and specifically to show :
1 . recreational area or areas : •
2 . service facility , to include one washer and one dryer
for every twenty spaces
3 . landscaping on buffer strip and around service building
Seconded by R . Olson . 4 yes , 0 no . Motion passed . .
Mr . Gilcott presented his proposal for a liquor store that re -
quires a Special Permit , as outlined in Article VIII of the
Zoning Ordinance . Proposed site was on property presently
owned by Mr . Gilcott , adjacent in a northerly direction to his
present residence . Discussion followed , and then Mr . Smith moved
that the proposal be tabled because of insufficient information .
Mr . Gilcott requested that action be taken that night with what
information was provided , because of a time deadline with the State
of New York . Motion was not seconded and it was dropped . Myers
then moved that the application for a Special Permit by Arthur
Gilcott to construct liquor store be rejected for lack of in -
formation . Seconded by M . Weitzel . 4 yes , • 0 no votes . Motion
passed .
M. Weitzel gave brief report on trailer park kit and contents ,
and suggested planning board consider utilizing pertinent material .
Motion made and seconded for adjournment . . : Passed . Time : 10 : 40PM .
