MEETING
January 9 , 1970
A meeting of the West Danby Water Commissioners and Town Board
was held at the West Danby Fire House on January 9 , 1970 at 7 : 30 P . M .
Purpose of the meeting to discuss the following :
Water Superintendent Perry Crance requested need for something to keep
the pipe from heater to chlorinator from freezing . Also need rust
proofing for the water tank and chlorine .
Electrical tape was suggested for putting around the pipe . Crance
j was authorized to purchase tape .
Supervisor Makie to check into the rust proofing and chlorine .
Roy ,Casterline stated a bill to be sent the Fire Commissioners in the
amount of $ 2254. 00 for three quarters .
Discussion on how to collect delinquent water bills amounting to
$ 890 . 15 owed by various users .
The Water Commissioners recommended to the Town Board that there be
a five percent penalty per quarter on unpaid water bills . When bills
= are sent out ; they are to state the last date to pay bill which will
I be 30 days from date bills are sent . In November of each year , any
delinquent bills will be relevied on the persons state and county tax
bill .
Emil Huttunen has been working with a petty cash fund . This is advis -
able in the future:
Supervisor Makie suggested possibly better fire insurance rating if
applied for an inspection . Advised to wait until spring .

$ 82 , 000 . 00 advised by F . H . A.
Mention of redoing the water rates . Carlton Hunt thought best to wait
until water distriOt in operation for a year .
Appointment of Water Commissioner - Emil Huttenen ' s term has expired .
Water Commissioners recommended the appointment of Louis Sinn as a
Water Commissioner for a five-year term expiring 12 /31/74 .
Justice Wright moved that Louis Sinn be appointed a Water
Commissioner for the West Danby Water District to a five -year term
expiring 12 /31/74 . Seconded by Justice Dorn . 5 ayes , 0 noes , carried .
Discussion on Perry Crance doing repairs for people in the Water District .
Water Superintendent is to perform the repairs , make out a town voucher
tating what has been done and submit this to the Water District as a
ill'. In tunic the owner will be billed along with quarterly water
ill.

Mr . Crance is to receive a minimum charge of $ 3-. 00 an hour for labor;
Meeting adjourned at 8 : 45 P. M .
