PUBLIC HEARING
4 on the
PRELIMINARY BUDGET
for
1970
The Public Hearing on the Preliminary Budget fir 1970 was
held on Wednesday , November 5 , 1969 at 8 : 00 P . M . in the Town
Hall . •
Present : Supervisor James H . Cortright
Councilmand Donald C . Makie IIO
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Town Justice Floyd Dorn
Town Justice A . Francis Wright
Others Present : E . J . Miller , Harry Hatfield , Mr . and Mrs .
George Potter , Cynthia Colman , Edward Roberts ,
and John Myers .
S upervisor Cortright called the meeting to order .
S upervisor Cortright gave those present a copy of the 1970
Preliminary Budget and reviewed the summary sheet of the Town
Budget followed by figures in 1969 budget as compared to new
budget .
The total proposed amount in the Preliminary Budget to be
raised by tax is 897 , 449 . 47 . This sum includes $ 8 , 950 for the
West Danby Water District , which West Danby residents in the
Water District will pay for .
Mrs . Cynthia Colman asked for an additional $200 . 00 be appropri -
ated for the Youth Program to pay fees for swimming lifeguards .
Edward Roberts commented on need for more gravel on the dike and
the brush to be cleared and seeded to right of boat launching
area . .
S uprervisor Cortright advised that adoption of the Preliminary
Budget will be acted upon at the regular monthly meeting ,
November 10 , 1969 .
