TOWN BOARD
August 29 , 1968
"A special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of
Danby was held on August 29 , 1968 , at 8 : 00 P . M . at the
Danby Town Hall .
Present : Supervisor James H . Cortright
Councilman Donald C . Makie
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Town Justice Floyd Dorn
Town Justice A . Francis Wright
Supervisor Cortright called the meeting to order
at 8 :00 P . M . for the purpose of scheduling a public
hearing date regarding the West Danby Water District .
Councilman Makie moved to waive the three -day
notice for a special meeting . Seconded by Towncjustice
A . Francis Wright . 5 ayes , 0 noes , carried .
The public hearing concerning the increase and
capital expenditure necessary for the West Danby Water
District shall be held on September 10 , 1968 at 8 : 00 P . M .
at the Grange Hall in West Danby .
Special meeting adjourned at 8 : 10 P . M .

RESOLUTION NO . 21
AUTHORIZATION TO CALL PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO
SECTION 209D AND 209F OF THE TOWN LAI. OF THE STATE
OF NEI ' YORK FOR INCREAS ING ESTIMATED COST OF THE
WEST DANBY WATER DISTRICT FROM $ 217 , 000 . 00 TO
$ 263 , 000 . 00 MD ESTABLISHMENT OF RATES .
WHEREAS , petition was duly filed with the New York State De -
partment of Audit and Control for an increase in the estimated
cost of the construction acquisition of property rights and
establishment of the West Danby Water District from $ 217 , 000 . 00
to $ 263 , 000 . 00 and
WHEREAS notification was received from the Department of Audit
and Control on August 29 , 1968 that said application was approved
and
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 209D and 209F of the Town Law of
the State of New York , it is necessary to have a public hearing
prior to a Town Board resolution adopting said increase in capi -
talization . r
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Supervisor be
and hereby is authorized by the Town Board to call a public hear -
ing to be held September 10 , 1968 at the West Danby Grange Hall
for the purposes of discussing the increased capitalization as
provided in the petition to the Department of Audit and Control
and to discuss the establishment of the water rates and connection
fees .
At a special meeting held on the 29th day of August , 1968 at the
Danby Town Hall , 8 : 00 R $l .;motion made
by Justice Dorn and seconded
by Councilman Ralph Wilbur
