AUGUST 28 , 1967
A meeting of the Danby Planning Board was held at the Town Hall , Monday ,
August 28 , 1967 , 8 : 20 p . m ,
Members present : Joseph Short , Chairman ; Mrs . Mildred Weitzel , Wendell Bryce .
Others present : Mrs . Esther Eckert , Mr . and Mrs . Jack Wiggins , Walter Wiggins .
Correction in July 26 , 1967 minutes , should read " Mr . Todd reporting
for Darwin Geuther on recreational lands in West Danby .
Minutes read , motion by Mr . Bryce , seconded by Mrs . Weitzel the minutes
be approved ,
Zoning Map - Map is ready according to Maki and Lee , will submit to
Town Board before printing .
Trailer park - Bob Cool, could not be contacted , Mr . Short spoke to
•Lawyers ( re : zoning ordinance in relation to map - - question with enforcememt
again . ) this cannot be enjoined ,
Sanitary Land fill - Mrs , Hautala was not present or any communication
received from her concerning other prospects of sanitary land fill sites .
No action taken . Mr . Short asked the Health Department why the Town Dump
is condemned , because it is " open faced " it can be closed at anytime .
Summer home of Boothroyd - wait on this .
Darwin Geuther resigns his position on Planning Board , resignation
accepted with regret . No nominations of persons to replace Mr . Geuther .
Town Board meeting will be Septa 7 and Town meeting Sept . 14 , Planning
oard members urged to attend *
Town Board minutes read by Mr , Bryce .
Mr . Walter ?Aiggins described a development of a 6 acre plot of land on
the Comfort Road . There will be 4 duplex homes ( 2 - 2 bedroom apartments ,
one story in each unit ) Mr , Wiggins presented sketches and blue prints of
outlay of homes on the land . Mr . Wiggins requests redesignation of old
zoning ordinance . After Mr . Short conferred with Mr . Herbert Muzzy the
Planning Board agreed with the plans submitted by the Wiggins family as the
kind of construction wanted in Danby , thus the Planning Board has condition -
ally approved the plans if the Health Department and Town Board will approve
them .
Mrs . Eckert requests urging the Town Board to accept plans for the youth
to renovate the Town Hall as a Community Center .
