HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 2020 May 12 bicentennial committeeEnfield Bicentennial Committee March 16, 1821 – March 16, 2021 May 12, 2020 Zoom Meeting Present: Eric Carter,Ellie Hobbie, Alice Linton,Ann Rider, Barb Sadovnic, Debbie Teeter, Sue Thompson Minutes from the April meeting were e-mailed to members of committee and placed on the Town of Enfield Website and will be sent to Barb Sadovnic to be placed on the Enfield Community Council site. Ann Rider reported she had not received any additional information regarding the “post mark” for March 16. Rob Sullivan, a former postal worker, suggested she write to the Post Office Archives in Washington regarding our request for a post mark. Ann Rider reported she is still researching possible quilt patterns. The Ohio Star Pattern is being looked at. Sue Thompson suggested a red, white and blue quilt. T-Shirt Logo Contest Suggestions: The picture should concern Enfield Age limit – Enfield Elementary School – High School and younger; professional artist; residents of Town – include Trumanburg and Newfield school kids? Advertising – Ithaca Times, Ulysses, Haefele TV, Community Council, Enfield Website. Barb Sadovnic reported she found 26 residents who were born in 1821, Cowen and Lovell were names mentioned. Alice Linton reported that the Friends of Robert H. Treman State Park have not met yet. Ann Rider reported she called Tony Ingraham and left a message to call her regarding the birthday celebration. Eric Carter will check with Carol Baker and Joanna Green to use the Grange on “pop-up” exhibits. Ann Rider reported that a company sent information regarding an ornament printed with bicentennial information. Next meeting: June 9, 2020 via Zoom. Submitted by Sue Thompson
