Correction Town of Ithaca change 2020 to 2021. Ann Rider contacted the Trumansburg Post Office regarding “post mark” for March 16. She was told to contact the Warren Road Post Office for information to arrange a “post mark”. Other suggestions was to contact Rob Sullivan or Nancy Spero regarding the post office information. There was discussion on printing the Enfield History book. We can arrange to have it done via Amazon.com as a “On Demand” service. Other services will also be looked into. List of Addendum for History book – committee members will review updates: Government Officials update – Sue Thompson Time Line update – Sue Thompson List of suggested changes – small changes on printed pages Buildings – Ellie Hobbie Community Council and Summer Camp – Sue Thompson and Ann Rider Women’s Auxiliary Enfield Volunteer Fire Company – Tammy Alling Grange History update by Sue Thompson, gave committee copies to review Enfield Volunteer Fire Company – Ann Rider Enfield Elementary School – Principals – Sue Thompson Other Event Suggestions: Friends of Robert H. Treman State Park Tony Ingraham “A Walk In The Park” videos on Treman State Park and other finger lakes history on line. Ann Rider will look into celebration grants regarding main celebration March 16, 2021 and Harvest Festival and Spring Festival. What funding is town doing for celebration? Main celebration funding is needed for: printing invitations - posters; refreshments – cakes, drinks, cups, napkins, plastic ware, etc.; invitations – stamps. Advertising for celebration: Ithaca Time, Ithaca Weekly, Ithaca Journal, Ithaca Voice, Social Media, Enfield Elementary School Wednesday Mailings. Ann Rider will ask Enfield Elementary School Art Teacher regarding a possible logo contest for T-shirts. Ann Rider reported she is looking into a quilt pattern. There was discussion on the size of quilt. Eric Carter will check with the Grange on “pop-up” exhibits in the Grange for a two week period of time. Eric Carter reported he is working on thedigitalproject using GIS. This would involve using historical maps and current maps to locate “historical” locations in the town, churches, stores, farms, etc. Next meeting: April 14, 2020. Submitted by Sue Thompson
