HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 2020 Dec 15 bicentennial committeeEnfield Bicentennial Committee March 16, 1821 – March 16, 2021 December 15, 2020 Zoom Meeting Present: Ellie Hobbie,Alice Linton, Ann Rider, Barb Sadovnic, Sue Thompson Minutes from the November meeting were e-mailed to members of the Committee. Ann Rider shared that she talked to Quilters Corners and they will donate the fabric and batting for the quilt. She would like someone else to go with her to pick fabric, but will not go until January. Alice Linton said she would look up information on the Ohio Star pattern and how much fabric to purchase for a queen size quilt. Ann Rider said she would donate the batting for the quilt. Ellie Hobbie sent out the two submissions for a logo for the celebration. The Committee decided to use both logo designs. Ellie Hobbie will ask for more information about the children that submitted the designs. The Committee will decide later how to use the logos. Sue Thompson reported she had not done anything on projects: book up date, Time Capsule Project, Genealogy project and will report at the next meeting. The Committee decided to have a virtual Birthday Ceremony on March 16, 2021. Ann Rider will look into using Zoom with the Community Council. A safe “in-person” celebration can be addressed hopefully later in the year. Ann Rider will look at the program to suggest how to have the program on Zoom. Ann Rider and Debbie Teeter will be looking for the list of officials to invite to the celebration. The Committee suggested that Barb Sadonvic place the 1821 resident biographies on the Community Council website. It was suggested that she talk to Robert Wixom regarding the write ups. There was discussion on costumes of the 1820 time period and how to make them for committee members to wear during the celebration events. Ann Rider will contact people she know regarding costume suggestions. Next meeting: January 19, 2021via Zoom. Submitted by Sue Thompson
