Minutes from the March meeting were e-mailed to members of committee and placed on the Town of Enfield Website and will be sent to Barb Sadovnic to be placed on the Enfield Community Council site. Ann Rider reported she had not received any additional information regarding the “post mark” for March 16. She is going to contact Rob Sullivan, a former postal workerfor assistance. There was concern regarding the Post Office and its bad financial situation. Ann Rider reported she is still researching possible quilt patterns. There were suggestions: a modern quilt, pattern of old meets new, using reproduction of old fabric. Ann Rider reported a resident donated fabric for the quilt but needs to be looked at yet. She will send suggestions of patterns to Alice Linton to review. Funding for celebration events may have to be relied on from the Enfield Community Council (ECC) savings account and from funds received from Community Celebrations – Country Fair and Harvest Festival. It was also suggested to have Quilt Committee. Ann Rider reported that the Community Grants program in Tompkins County has been canceled for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Funds are forcasted to not be available and the program does not have the financial capacity to support any new grants. Not sure how the Enfield PTA will be able to help out with celebrations. Sue Thompson sent out a copy of the Community Council update for the Enfield History book. She asked everyone to review it for comments, etc. She will send out copies to members again. She also will send out the listing of Enfield School Principals to members to look over. Sue Thompson reported she will continue working on the update of officials for the town and time line for the town. Barb Sadovnic suggested identifying people who were born in Enfield in 1821. She thought a small write-up of the persons life would be nice. She has found some residents already and will continue to work on the project.
