At a meeting of the Town Board • of the Town of Danby ,
held at the Town Hall in the Town of Danby , Tompkins County , New
York , . on the 8th day of June , 1967 at 8 : - 00 P . M .
In the Matter - of the Establishment of a Water District
in the Town of Danby , County of .Tompkins , State of New York , pur -
suant to Article 12 -A of the Town Law
WHEREAS a map , plan and report have been prepared , in
such manner and in such detail as has heretofore been determined
by the Town Board of Danby , relating to the establishment of a

proposed Water District in the West Danby area of said Town , and
•
WHEREAS such map , plan , and . report have been duly filed
•
in the Town Clerk ' s Office in said Town ; and .
•
WHEREAS said map , plan , and report were prepared by
the Standard Engineering Corp . , Albany , New York , a competent
engineer , duly licensed by the State of New York , showing the
boundaries of the proposed district , and . a general plan of the
water system , and a report of the proposed method of operation ;
and
WHEREAS said map and supplemental maps concurrently
filed show all storage tanks , pumps , well locations , pump house ,
and
WHEREAS the boundaries of the proposed district are as

Beginning in the center of New York 'State High -
way Route # 34 at the northwest corner of Parcel No .
16 - 1 - 15 as shown on the Town of Danby Assessment Maps ;
thence running in a general southerly direction along
the center of the highway to the northeast corner of
Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 14 ; thence in a general westerly
direction_ along the northern boundary of said parcel
to the northwest corner of . said parcel ; thence in a
general southerly direction along the ' west boundary
of said parcel to the . southeast corner of Parcel No .
6 - 1 - 13 ; thence in a easterly _ direction along the south-
ern boundary of Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 19 a distance of 400

o f the West Danby Road at the southwest corner of Parcel
No . 18 - 1 - 7 ; thence along the westerly boundary of Parcel
No . 18 - 1 - 7 as it bends and turns to the northwest corner
of said . parcel ; thence in a general northerly direction
along the eastern boundary of Lands owned by the Lehigh
✓ alley Railroad as it runs through Parcels No . 16 - 1 - 25
and No . 16 - 1 - 24 to the northeast corner Parcel No .
16 - 1 - 20 ; thence in a westerly direction to the north-
e ast corner of Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 18 . 2 , a distance of
1 , 200 feet ; thence in a northerly direction along the
eastern boundary of Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 19 to the northeast
corner of said parcel ; thence in a westerly direction
along the northern boundary of Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 19 to
t he southeast corner of Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 15 ; thence in
a northerly direction along the eastern boundary line
o f Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 15 to the northeast corner of Parcel
No . 16 - 1 - 15 ; thence in a westerly direction along the
northern boundary line of Parcel No . 16 - 1 - 15 to the
place of beginning .
This description is in accordance with the map
o f the West Danby Water District , Town of Danby , Tamp -
kins County , New York , prepared by T . G . Miller and
dated March , 1967 . .
WHEREAS the improvement proposed is as follows : A
public water supply system for West Danby , Town of Danby , Tompkin .
County , New York ; and
WHEREAS the proposed method of financing the cost of
said improvement consists of the issuance of serial bonds toget -
her ewith a grant in aid from the United States Farmers Home
Administration , and

WHEREAS the maximum amount proposed to be expended for
said improvement and for the acquisition of the necessary Lands
and easements is Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand Dollars , ( $ 217, 000.00 )
and .
WHEREAS said map , plan and the report describing said
improvement are on file in the Town Clerk ' s Office , for public
inspection ,
Now , on motion of Councilman Donald Makie
and seconded by Councilman Donald Barber , it is hereby
ORDERED that the Town Board of the Town of Danby shall
meet and hold a public hearing at the Grange Hall in Vest Danby ,
7 Town of Danby , on the 19th day of June , 1967 , at 8 : 00 P . M . on
that day , to consider said map , plan , and report , and to hear
all persons interested in the subject thereof concerning the same
and to take such action thereon as is required or authorized by
Law .
The adoption of the foregoing order was duly put to
a vote , and the adoption was duly passed by a majority vote of
the Town Board .
The order was thereupon declared duly adopted .
