Cortland, NY 13045-5160 Suit-Kote respectfully submits the enclosed plans, application, and related analysis for construction of 2 asphalt storage tanks at our Cortlandville Terminal site. The two proposed tanks will support Suit-Kote's continued operation in Central New York, providing materials utilized by civil construction firms throughout the region in critical infrastructure projects. The tanks will be located in the existing containment of the terminal property, which will be upgraded to meet or exceed current environmental standards. The containment area will be impervious, per the industry standard Gulf Oil Field test, as is the case with all Suit-Kote Facilities. The capacity of the system will exceed the 110% capacity of the largest tank and storm water, ensuring high levels of safety and environmental protection. The tanks will be erected on reinforced concrete pads and placed in service in accordance with the highest standards of construction, testing, operation, and maintenance, as prescribed by the NY Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the industry reference American Petroleum Institute (API), and all other applicable standards, as is the case with all of Suit-Kote's facilities. As one of the area's largest employers, we are excited to embark on this substantial investment in our facilities and community with this upgrade to our existing industrial site, which is adjacent to other Industrial Zone 2 Properties. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration.
