HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-11-10 67 TOWN OF DANBY PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET November 10 , 1966 A public hearing on the preliminary budget for the Town of Danby was held Thursday , November 10 , 1966 at 8 : 00 P . M . in the Town Hall . Present : Supervisor James H . Cortright , Justice Moses Peter , Councilmen Donald Barber . - Also Highway Superintendent Chaffee . and Paul Smith . Absent : Councilman Donald Maxie . There being no further attendance , Supervisor Cortright called the hearing to order . a .t 8 : 30 P . M . Justice Peter strongly feels a budget should be provided for town officers to attend association of towns meetings , instead of taking from Contingent Fund . Supervisor Cortright said this change is not necessary . There was no further discussion . Peter moved to adopt the preliminary budget as the annual budget for 1967 . Seconded by Barber . 3 ayes , 0 noes , carried . : A letter' was .presented by Paul Smith , ChairNan of the Danby Republican Committee to the Town . Board to . consider the appointment of Floyd Dorn , 1219 Coddington Road a 's Justice of the Peace to fill the vacancy brought about by the resigna - tion of Henry Nakarainen on November 2 , 1966 . Barber moved that the Town Board appoint . Floyd Darn a Justice of the Peace until the general election in November 1967 . Peter seconded . 3 ayes , 0 noes , carried . Peter moved to adjourn at 10 .: 00 P .
