TOWN OF ENFIELD
PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11th, 2004
7:00 P.M.
A public hearing was held Wednesday, August 11th, 2004 at the Enfield Community
Building, 182 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, New York at 7:00 p.m. with Supervisor Fisher
presiding. The public hearing was held on the purposed SPCA contract for 2005, 2006,
2007.
Supervisor Fisher led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Present: Supervisor Gary Fisher, Town Councilperson Peggy Hubbell, Town
Councilperson Larry Lanning, Town Councilperson Sandra Small and Town Clerk Alice
Laue. Representatives Jim Tantillo and Pam Stonebreaker from the SPCA were also in
attendance.
Supervisor Fisher opened the public hearing to all wishing to speak.
No one wishing to speak.
Councilperson Small noted and raised several points that were not included in this three-
year contract when comparing it with the prior four-year contract. They included that the
SPCA will prepare and submit vouchers for monthly payment, the contract will run for
four years, the SPCCA agrees to provide a Certificate of Insurance evidencing public
liability insurance coverage in at lest the amount of $1,000,000, the SPCA agrees that all
of the services provided will be conducted and carried out in compliance with all
applicable requirements of law, regulations or ordnances, and the adding back in of the
“In witness whereof” clause.
Representatives from the SPCA agreed to those changes and will modify the contract
accordingly.
After all wishing to speak had spoken the public hearing was closed at 7:20 p.m.
