TOWN OF ENFIELD
SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH, 2001
7;00 P.M

A Special Town Board Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Enfield was held at
the Enfield Community Building, 182 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, N.Y. at 7:00 p.m.,
Monday November 19th, 2001. Supervisor Owens presiding.
Present: Supervisor Jean Owens; Town Councilman Greg Stevenson, Town Councilman
Joe Schehr, Town Councilman Mark Roach, Town Councilwoman Patricia Gumaer.
Councilwoman Gumaer took the Oath of Office for the vacant council position that ends
December 31, 2001.
Budget
Supervisor explained the problem was that the correct number from the Highway
Department of the fund that was trimmed It was the intention to bring it to the building
line were the funds would eventually be applied towards a highway building. Didn’t
bring the right dollar amount over, which would mean we still have a 2.9 percent
increase. Dollar amount in line A9950.00 needs to be increased by $7,432.00.
Supervisor asked for a motion rescinding the adopted 2002 Final Budget.
Motion made by Councilman Stevenson, seconded by Councilman Schehr that in order to
correct a mathematical miscalculation that the Town Board of the Town of Enfield repeal
the 2002 Final Budget as adopted at the November 14th, 2001 Town Board Meeting.

Motion made by Councilman Stevenson, seconded by Councilman Schehr that the Town
Board of the Town of Enfield approve the amendment of line A9950.0 to read
$55,762.00.
Discussion
Vote – Supervisor Owens aye. Town Councilman Stevenson aye, Town Councilman
Schehr aye. Town Councilman Roach aye. Town Councilwoman Gumaer aye.
Motion made by Councilman Stevenson, seconded by Councilwoman Gumaer that the
Town Board of the Town of Enfield approve the adoption of the amended final budget as
the 2002 Final Budget.

Vote- Supervisor Owens yes. Town Councilmen Stevenson, Schehr, Roach yes. Town
Councilwoman Gumaer yes.
December General Fund Payroll
Motion made by Councilman Roach, seconded by Councilman Stevenson that the Town
Board of the Town of Enfield approve the moving of the December General Fund payroll
from December 31, 2001 to December 15th, 2001.

Vote – Supervisor Owens yes. Town Councilman Stevenson, Schehr, Roach yes. Town
Councilwoman Gumaer yes.
Public Hearings
Planning Board Public Hearing on the Comprehensive Plan scheduled for Saturday,
December 1, 2001 at 1:00 p.m.
Motion made by Councilman Roach, seconded by Councilwoman Gumaer that the Town
Board of the Town of Enfield hold a public hearing on the Comprehensive Plan on
December 12th, 2001 at 6:30 p.m.

Adjournment
Motion made by Councilman Roach, seconded by Councilman Stevenson that the Specail
Town Board Meeting held November 19th, 2001 adjourn.
