MINUTES
1. Review of Proposals for the Seneca Street Parking Garage Mural Project
The PAC reviewed 14 submissions for the top floor of the Seneca Street Parking Garage. Artists
applied to paint one or both of the facing walls on the 9th floor. Proposals were submitted by:
Todd Ayoung; Sean Chilson; Jim Garmhausen; Faith Hoffman-Brown; Luis Hurtado; McKenzie
Jones-Rounds & Grace Ritter; Kazoo & Paloma Abregu; Alina Kim; Arturo ‘Moh’ Mendez;
Margaret Reed; Jack Sears; Justin Suarez; Jeff Szuc; and Thievin’ Stephen. In reviewing the
proposals, PAC members considered the proposed design, the appropriateness of the design for
the location, previous work, and the ability of the artist to complete a project of this size. After
reviewing all of the proposals, the PAC agreed to distribute “Ursa Major” by Margaret Reed and
“Flock Together” by Justin Suarez for public comment.
