Additions or Deletions to the Agenda 2. Announcements A. Monster Electrical Box at Aurora and Hillview needs cleaning up. Jay will take care of it. B. Get-Up State will be Sept 25-27 with an art show at Lot 10. 3. Special Order of Business: David Dresser – Murals in Ovid - David did not come to our meeting. David is interested in organizing murals in Ovid. 4. Public Comment – 3 minutes per person A. Mural Proposal by Ramiro Davaro-Comas 1) Megan read attached written comments B. Other Public Comments - none 5. Approval of Minutes - postponed 6. Murals A. Mural Proposal by Ramiro Davaro-Comas - New location: Cass Park pool filter building. Ithacans for Public Art will donate $60 to help with gas. Maybe the Children's garden would like to hold a book reading event. (Sam will contact Erin) B. Mural Proposal by Moh Arturo - Why is the project stalled? What is the insurance issue? How much? Could they do it with a ladder? Could they do it above lot 10 or behind CTB? 7. Other Business A. Funding for Public Art - There is a family foundation interested in funding arts. They currently fund the SOS grant. CAP wants to hire a part time person to facilitate $20,000/yr toward public art. Because of the success of 21 BOXES, they want to fund murals. Hopefully will happen in 2016. Tourism and Chamber is putting together $10,000 for a call. B. CAP Grant Application - What shall we request grant money for? C. Draft request to BPW - Caleb has a list of potential walls to request. He will meet with Megan. Approved – 11/18/15 2 D. Parking Garages - Dennis and Maria Bauser painted this past week. Kurt Piller will be painting beginning Sept 1st. Frank will add up amount spent annually on graffiti removal and he and PAC will request money for 2016 murals as graffiti deterrent. E. Columbia Street Bridge - still needs beautifuication F. Non-Mural projects - PAC would like to plan for future non-mural projects 8. Next Meeting A. September 23rd at 4 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Conference Room 9. Adjournment
