Comprehensive Plan Committee April 17 2018
In attendance: Supervisor/Chair: Beth McGee, Councilpersons Becky Sims and Mimi Mehaffey, Planning Chair: Dan Walker, Planning Board Alternate: Joe Dawson, Planner: Matt Johnston, Additional
Committee Members: Nancy Spero, Jon Yates.
Introductions. Planner, Matt Johnston spoke on his experience and his assessment of the Plan as is.
Considers the draft “robust” and would like to take our lead on the review since we are of the community.
Timeline of actions rather than just lists of actions.
Site Plan/Subdivision as action
How will we measure success of Plan- benchmarking to determine what sections of the Plan might need updating in the future and which ones are working best.
Actionable summary of the Plan to give the gist of the Plan for people at meetings and in the Town Hall/Website to inform people of the basic goals/actions.

Considerations from Town of Ithaca Plan
Becky will work on Land Use data
Beth will provide text only with data draft for editing
Becky will look at Aquifer Study language
Environmental Resources is not in the TOC
Matt will prepare review on everything up to and including the Heritage and Historic Preservation
