Award of Bid for East Green Street – Restoration, City Hall Parking Lot –
Rehabilitation, Miscellaneous Pavement Markings

WHEREAS, bids were received on September 23, 2008 for East Green Street –
Restoration, City Hall Parking Lot – Rehabilitation, Miscellaneous Pavement Markings,
and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the bids received and recommends award, now
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the City of Ithaca Board of Public Works hereby awards the East
Green Street – Restoration, City Hall Parking Lot – Rehabilitation, Miscellaneous
Pavement Markings Project to Bothar Construction LLC, 170 East Service Road,
Binghamton, NY, for their low bid meeting specifications of $ 534,341.85.
Civil Engineer West explained how the bid document was prepared and the details of
the project to the Board.
Discussion followed on the floor regarding some specifics of the project including
inclusion of the bike plan components, different bids received for the striping parts of the
project; and traffic control issues.
A Vote on the Resolution resulted as follows:
