Committee of the Whole Meeting 5:03 p.m. September 3, 2008

Water Supply Draft Environmental Impact Statement (dEIS):
The Board, along with Steve Eckler and Rick Gell from O’Brien & Gere, completed their
review of the draft Environmental Impact Statement (dEIS). City Attorney Hoffman had
several items that he wanted to clarify and ensure the wording was accurate and easily
understood. Discussion followed on the floor following each items brought up for
debate.
The Mayor requested that the energy computations be checked and made consistent
throughout the document. After extensive discussion, the Board agreed to follow the
Carbon Footprint National Standards.
Mr. Eckler and Mr. Gell agreed that corrections and suggested changes to the dEIS
would be completed and a red-lined version of the document would be delivered to the
Board during the next Board meeting. The Board would be given time to review the
updated document prior to voting on accepting and publicizing it.
