Pat took a xerox copy of the pencil sketching -to work to show to Sharon Brown who presently lives in the old hotel. Sharon's great -great- grandfather was apparently the artist. Announcement made that the only days you- can now do research at DeWitt Historical Society are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. (Other days by appointment.) Denny spoke of the old "ice house." Helen Smith say_ s Mr Brumburg will be here for the May 5th Historical Society Meeting. Denny Newhart spoke of a reunion of those people who attended the one and two -room schools in Enfield over the years. The idea started with District 6. Helen said there was information on all the schools relative to their whereabouts. Apparently there is a lot of interest. Wilma Fisher has a. picture of a class at the Bostwick Corners school. Jean (SanSoucie) Trenchard says she also has school pictures taken from her grandparent's (Emmett and Blanche Tucker) collection. Mrs. Tucker was a school teacher here. it was suggested that a "starting" reunion be held this September and build from there. Those people who already know about the proposed reunion can meet and plan fora "big" reunion next year. It will be at Newhart's Lodge. A questionnaire was suggested. Also a suggestion to honor those teachers still living. (Warena Ramsey recently had her leg removed in Florida shewas a teacher in Enfield for a long time.) Denny will put something together and give it to Jack. Pat spoke with Lanny Clark about the Boy Scouts in Enfield. His dad, Harold Clark was a charter member and very active through the years. Lanny, Pat, and Mel Schilling will get some of the membership books together from different troops and a mailing will be done to some of the people and hopefully they will add to the history. Lanny will ask his mother for any old memorabilia of his dad's scouting days that she might have saved.
