PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Acting Mayor Pryor led all present in the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag.
1. Power To Act
Award of Bid for Stewart Avenue Over Fall Creek Bridge Rehabilitation -
Resolution
By Commissioner Beach: Seconded by Commissioner Gutenberger
WHEREAS, bids were received on June 17, 2003 for the Rehabilitation of Stewart
Avenue Bridge Over Fall Creek, and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the bids and is recommending that the low bidder be
awarded the project; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of Public Works hereby awards the bid for rehabilitation of
the Stewart Avenue Bridge over Fall Creek to Fahs-Ralston Paving Corporation, 2224
Pierce Creek Road, Binghamton, New York 13903 for their low bid of $1,481,333.00,
and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Superintendent of Public Work be authorized to enter into an
agreement with Fahs-Ralston Paving Corporation under the usual terms and conditions.
Discussion followed on cost estimates and the work schedule.
A vote on the Resolution resulted as follows:
Carried Unanimously
ADJOURNMENT:
On a motion the meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
