Special Meeting
August 25, 1999
NOTES
PRESENT: Commissioners Ehrhardt, Gutenberger, Jenkins, Korherr, Leonardo, Superintendent
Gray, and Assistant Superintendents Fabbroni and Ferrel.
Comm. Ehrhardt chaired the meeting.
1. Request to Abandon Sidewalk.
Supt. Gray explained to the board that the sidewalk in question is on the east side of Maple Grove
Place. The request from property owner Scott Raynor is based on the lack of use of the walk,
which leads to a park that is rarely used. He added that there is a sidewalk on the west side of the
street to accommodate pedestrian traffic. Supt. Gray reminded the board that they may wish to
reinstall the sidewalk at a later date depending on the use of the park. Comm. Gutenberger told
the board that her children use to go to the park often but would cut through backyards to get
there. Mr. Raynor explained that most of the properties along the street have their primary access
on another street.
Le Resolution
By Comm. Korherr, seconded by Comm. Jenkins.

RESOLVED, That the Board of Public Works hereby abandons the area of sidewalk between the
