Comm. Ehrhardt chaired the meeting. 1. Request to Abandon Sidewalk. Supt. Gray explained to the board that the sidewalk in question is on the east side of Maple Grove Place. The request from property owner Scott Raynor is based on the lack of use of the walk, which leads to a park that is rarely used. He added that there is a sidewalk on the west side of the street to accommodate pedestrian traffic. Supt. Gray reminded the board that they may wish to reinstall the sidewalk at a later date depending on the use of the park. Comm. Gutenberger told the board that her children use to go to the park often but would cut through backyards to get there. Mr. Raynor explained that most of the properties along the street have their primary access on another street. Le Resolution By Comm. Korherr, seconded by Comm. Jenkins. WHEREAS, Scot Raynor owner of 505 Dryden Road, has received a notification to replace the defective sidewalk on his property, and WHEREAS, Mr. Raynor is requesting that the sidewalk between his driveway and Maple Grove Place be abandoned since it leads to a dead end street with only one house on it, and WHEREAS, staff is recommending the Board of Public Works to abandon this section of sidewalk; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Board of Public Works hereby abandons the area of sidewalk between the driveway for 505 Dryden Road and Dryden Road along the west side of Maple Grove Place. Discussion followed concerning the cost of removal and possibilities of reinstallation at a future date. Carried Unanimously The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m. r Notes taken by: Donna L.
