The following resolution was passed by the Board of Public Works at the November 1, 1995
Committee of the Whole Meeting when the Board had Power to Act.

1. Request for Holiday Tree on City Property
By Commissioner Reeves: Seconded by Commissioner Tripp
WHEREAS, the "Ithaca Child" newspaper has requested the use of the triangular City property at
the intersection of West Buffalo and West State Street, and
WHEREAS, the "Ithaca Child" would like to place a holiday tree with decorations that are multi -
denominational or non - denominational; now, thejefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of Public Works has reviewed the request and approves of the use of
city property at West Buffalo and West State Street for a holiday tree provided that there is no cost
to the city and that the display is entirely removed and cleaned up completely by January 15, 1996.
A vote on the resolution resulted as follows:
