COMMON COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS

SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS:
Appointment to Fill Vacancy on Common Council - Resolution:
By Alderperson Hershey: Seconded by Alderperson Pryor
WHEREAS, Josh Glastetter was elected to Common Council in the 4th
Ward for a 4-year term effective January 1, 1999, and
WHEREAS, Alderperson Glasstetter resigned on September 19, 2001,
creating a vacancy on Common Council, and
WHEREAS, Common Council has the authority to fill a vacancy until
such time as the vacancy is filled by election, and
WHEREAS, on November 6, 2001, Peter B. Mack was elected in the
4th Ward to serve the final 2 years of the vacant term effective
January 1, 2002, and
WHEREAS, residents of the 4th Ward and the City benefit from full
representation on Common Council; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That Peter B. Mack is appointed forthwith to fill the
vacancy through December 31, 2001.
