Special Meeting 7:30 P.M December 22, 1999

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Mayor Cohen led all those present in the Pledge of
Allegiance to the American Flag.
SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS:
Amendment to Capital Project for Purchase of Cherry Street
Extension
By Alderperson Manos: Seconded by Alderperson Vaughan
WHEREAS, the purchase of Cherry Street land extension has
been approved at a cost of $415,000 with an additional
$10,000 needed for closing and financing costs, and
WHEREAS, the original Capital Project #351 for Cherry
Street Acquisition was established at $415,000; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That Common Council hereby amends Capital Project
#351 Acquisition of Cherry Street Extension by an amount
not to exceed $10,000 for a total project authorization of
$425,000, to include in the project all necessary funds for
closing and financing costs, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the $10,000 in additional funds needed for
said property acquisition will be derived from the advance
of monies from the General Fund and later repaid from the
issuance of Serial Bonds.
Mayor Cohen explained that this amendment is necessary as
the Capital Project did not account for closing costs when
it was originally established in 1998.
A vote on the motion resulted as follows:
