Public Hearing on Submission of a Single Purpose Community
Development Application
Resolution to Open Public 1Iearing
By Alderperson Sc lat er: Seconded by Alderperson Lytel
RESOLVED, That the Public Hearing on Submission of a Single
Purpose Community Development Application be declared oCarried Unanimously
Tracy Ferrell, 429 {V. Buffalo Street stated to the Council
that Neighborhood Housing certainly would have preferred
(tA� for the original application to go through, however, they
are pleased with the state of the current application and
she urged the Council to support it.
Resolution to Close Public Hearing
By Alderperson booth Seconded by Alderperson Peterson
RESOLVED, That the Public Hearing on Submission of a Single
Purpose Community Development Application be declared closed.

Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency /Community Development Age::cy
Resolution
By Comm. Stein: Seconded by Comm. Jones
RESOLVED, That the Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency /Community
Development Agency recommend to the Common Council approval
of the Community Development application as rewritten.
Discussion followed on the floor.
A vote on the resolution resulted as follows:

WHEREAS, Conllnon Council recognizes the need to continue efforts
which enhance and preserve residential neighborhoods, and
improve community facilities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Common Council approve the 1986/1987 Community
Development Block Grank Small Cities budget and programs
as amended and recommended by the Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency/
i Coll11111111.1ty Development Agency, and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized and
directed to sign upon advice of the City Attorney and the
Director of Planning and Development any and all instruments
necessary to submit the City's 1986/1987 Community Development
application to the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development.
