PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

MAYOR'S APPOINTMENTS:

Mayor Bordoni requested approval o the Council. for appointment of
the following persons to the Capital Improvements Review Committee
for the period of July 1, 1981 through June 30, 1982:
Common Council representation: Alderman Donald J. Slattery
Alderman IV. David Banfield.
Board of Public Works representation:
Commissioner Gerald P. Schi_ckel
Commissioner J. Kenneth Walker
Planning & Development Board representation:
Board member Peter Holmes
Board member Prof. Martin Sampson
Resolution
By Alderman Boothroyd: Seconded by Alderman Saccucci
RESOLVED, the Council approves the appointment of the following
persons to the Capital Improvements Review Committee for the period
of July 1, 1981 through June 30, 1982:
Common Council representation: Alderman Donald J. Slattery
Alderman IV. David Banfield
Board of Public Works representation:
Commissioner Gerald P. Schickel
Commissioner J. Kenneth Walker
Planning F, Development Board representation:
Board member Peter Holmes
Board member Prof. Martin Sampson
Carried Unanimously
Aldermen Slattery and Banfield took the Oath of Office and were sworn
in by City Clerk Rundle.
Fire Commissioner
Mayor Bordoni requested approval of the Council for appointment of
Robert L. Anderson, Sr., 110 Auburn Street, as Fire Commissioner for
a three -year term effective July 1, 1981 and expiring June 30, 1984.
Resolution
By Alderman Banfield: Seconded by Alderman Boothroyd
RESOLVED, the Council approves the appointment of Robert L. Anderson,
Sr., 1.10 Auburn Street, as Fire Commissioner for a three -year term
effective July 1, 1981 and expiring June 30, 1984.
Carried Unanimously
Mr. Anderson took the Oath of Office and was sworn in by City Clerk
Rundle.

proposals.

of the various reapportionment
Alderman Slattery commented that I -9 or I -4 would work in the City
although I -4 captures the Fall Creek Neighborhood. He said the
approved proposal has to be ready for county adoption by July 25;
however, it has to be on the table by July 14 or 15.
Mr. Edward Lutz explained to the Common Council the calendar of
events of the county reapportionment committee.
Discussion of the various proposals followed on the floor.
Resolution
By Alderman Dennis: Seconded by Alderman Schuler
RESOLVED, That the City of Ithaca adopt the Plan 1 -4 Modified with
the dotted line as it passes by the golf course.
Discussion followed on the floor.
The question of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
put to a vote on roll call, which resulted as follows:

Mayor Bordoni commented that he would ask the City Attorney to draft
an appropriate local law for consideration as quickly as possible,
