Pool Livermore, as Chairman of the Ithaca Relief Emergency 7ork Bureau, addressed the Common Council on the subject of !pork Relief. The proposed work program, of Cornell University, the carrying out of which . r. Livermore reported had been approved by the i'ork Bureau in principle on the basis of the T.E.R.A. proposal, was discussed, and referred to the Finance and Charity Co:.mitties to investigate with the Mayor the desirability of the City' s accepting the proposal , either in i7hole or in part. The petition, on :motion,was laid on the table. Annual The Clerk read the Annual Report of the City Reports Assessor aizd Building Coamissioner and the sale was ordered filed. Sealer Gaurnier read his Annual Report which in- cluded the announcement that the Annual ."eeting of the Sealers of the State would be held this year in Ithaca. The report was received and ordered filed. Chief of Police `arshall read his Annual Report which ,gas received and ordered filed. Co,.mitt e e Alderman Lowe as Chai rmin of the Charter Report Ordinance Committee reported on the following matters referred to the Con =ittee at the preceding meeting; Relative to changing the election districts, the Co mnittee recommends that no change be made, fpr various rea sons, not the least of Mich is the expense involved. Relative to changing the ordinance to pervit Hunting and the discharging of firearms within the City limits along the -Lake Shore :tear the Airport, the Co.:mittee likewise recomiends that no change be made in the prevent ordinance.
