Minutes of the preceding meeting were duly approved.
Dinner
City Offi- Corx,.iissioner Evans appeared before the Council and
cials suggested that a "Dutch Treat' dinner be held by the
various City Officials so that we eight become better
acquainted, and discuss and understand each others
problems. The proposition was well received. At his
suggestion a Co-nnittee of Three consisting of
Alderman Causer, Commissioner RixAsey and Clerk. 1.7atthews
was appointed to handle the details.
Loan
The L.ayor reported on a small bank balance as of
the first of the month,but stated that he had been
able to secure a loan of $50,000 at favorable interest
rate from a local citizen.
The hayor explained the problera confronting the
Work Bureau in securing work for the needy and asked
the Clerk to read the resolution unanimously adopted
by the Bureau at their meeting FebruOXY 3rd.
South In support of their reauest for the approval
Meadow of the South '14eadow Street Bridge job and the sanitary
Bridge sewer on Floral Avenue, Superi-atendent Feller appeared
before the Council and explained the necessity and
economy in constructing the bridge at this time.
After considerable discussion it was regularly
;roved by Alderman Samiaons, Seconded by Alderman Ca-lipbell:
RESOLVED: that the South :. eadow Street 3ridge job
be approved as a work project at the estimated cost.

Road The Clerk was requested to reply to a letter
from Professor Koshkin that the work he requested on
Valley Road could not be undertaken at the present
time as there was no money available but might be
included in the usual Spring maintenance work.

Minutes of the preceding meeting were duly approved.
The Mayor reported briefly on his visit to Albany
for the Hi dnWinter meeting of the hayor l s Conference.
Amendment
Building The Clerh .read from the Minutes of the Planning
Zone Commission of February 26th therein they reco:N_lended various
Ordi— amendments to the Building Zone Ordinance. Each amendment
nance was discussed, particularly the one proposed to remove
hotels from the "B" residence district and place such
construction along with apartment houses, hospitals etc. ,
under Section Sa.

RESOLVED: that the Common Council approves of adoption
of the amendments as recommended.

The Mayor declared the ;Notion lost on the grounds that
it required a majority vote of full membership.
Commissioner Dofflenyer called attention to the
fact that the present edition of the Zoning Ordinance was
exhausted and that certain anendments were desirable before
a new edition is printed and recommended that such
changes be studied.

RESOLVED: that the entire Zoning Ordinance be
referred to the Planning Con .ission. for study with regard
to revision and reprinting.

Audit

RESOLVED; that the bills audited and approved by
the Finance Com_iittee be and the sane are hereby approved
for payment.

Amendments
Charter The Clerk read a proposed amendment to Sec.146 of
the City Charter designed to clarify the provisions thereof
and the same was, on :Notion, laid upon the desks of the
members until the next regular :meeting.
Alderman Campbell read a proposed amendment to
Sec. 24 of the City Charter designed to clarify the pro-
visions thereof with particular reference to making it
coAform to the present Public Welfare Lacy, and the same
was on motion laid upon the desks of the °ne_soers until
the next regular ?Meeting.
