PRESENT—Hermon Bergholt z,Mayor Aldermen--Gill, Sammons, Lowe, Causer, Casterline, Myers,Hines,Rogalsly Attorney--T'r ema n Chamberlain— Snyder Assessor--Doffi.etiyer 1i Mayor Bergholtz opened the Public Hearing, as advertised, and asked if any one wishes_ to be heard l+ in TO ga�.a�d to the proposal to aamend. the Zoning ji ordinance byre-enacting Sec.9 (e) . II On behalf of certain property owners in Cornell Heights, 11 Yr. C. T. Stagg etpressed his personal views as a former Chairman of the Board of Zoning Apeca.ls stating that he believed it was inherently unwise for the Council to re-enact this Section thus combining the administration of the Law with the Legislative power. Mr. Peer spoke in favor of the proposed amendment explaining that he felt that the Common Council should. be the final appeal Board. At the request of Professor F. G. Switzer, 11 President of the Bryant Park Civic Association, the 1 Clerk read a communication from their executive committee opposing the proposal. 1 Professor Work, representing the residents of Bryant Park also opposed the cha.nae. Since no one had any further remarks to make, I, the Eayoi' declared. the Public Hearin; closed.. By Alderman Causer: seconded. by Alderman Casterline: RESOLVED: that the Board go into executive session.
