Mayor Howe announced the purpose of the
Special Meeting was to consider e. request from
the Board of Public Works for additional nppr.o—
priation in accordance with the resolution
passed at the Board' s meeting, Nov. 13th,
that is an additional appropriation of not
over 114,7nn to complete the work of filling
the Airport by the State Dredge and to clean out
II the silt,gravel, stone etc. , that accumulatedin
Cascadilla Creek due to the heavy rains of lest
summer ; the re—appropriation of earnings and
revenues of the Board over and above the
Budget estimate ; and author.i ation to transfer
any surplus that may accrue in one branch of
the service under the jurisdiction and Budget
of the Board to cover any deficit that may
accrue in some other. branch.
Clerk Kerr explained the requisition
and also the present financial condition, and
estimated that if these additional appropria-
tions were made and expended., there would still
be a substantial cash balance at the close of
the year, due to some revenues exceeding the
Budget estimates.
By Alderman Sammons: seconded by Alderman Atkinson:
RESOLVED: that 0.4,700, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is
hereby appropriated for the uses of the Board, of
Public Works.

Carried and Approved.
By Alderman Causer: seconded by Alderman Atkinson:
RESOLVED: that authorization is hereby
given to transfer any surplus that may accrue
in one branch of the service under the jurisdic—
tion and Budget of the Board of Public Works
to cover any deficit that may accrue in some
other branch under the jurisdiction of the
Board of Public Works.

RESOLVED: that all earnings and revenues
received this year through the several branches
of the Board of Public Works over and above the
Budget estimates, be and the same is hereby
re—appropriated for the uses of the Hoard. of
Public Works .
