Regular Meeting

CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 8 : 3O by Chairman
Thayer ° Minutes were read and approved . Minutes f reT
a special meeting of the Planning Board were also 10 1

REPORTS Dr . Hart discussed the general problem of trailer :_ ie
. Danby as they affect the Zoning Board of Appeals . A
report on the legal aspects of zoning for trailer
and trailer parks was presented by Mrs . Blanchard of
the Planning Board staff .
No additional information was available on the Sanitary
Land Fill site
Mr . Short reported that no new information was available
on the Jenning ' s Pond project . He also reported that
the newsletter was in its final stages of editing .
Mr . Thayer reported that the Town Board is taking acem
tion on the removal cf the junkyard . Another hearing:
is anticipated .
Mr . Brown reported that the Denby survey indicated that
the site of the old school is the preferred site for
a new Town Hail_ . Mr . Short noted that the survey asked
for site preference for a new " community center " rather ,
than " town hall ' .
NEW BUSINESS A proposed private landing strip in northwest Danby
was discussed ° This strip would be located in an R
zoning district ° The discussion was tabled after the
motion was made and approved that the Planning Board
looks with favor on the private strip but wishes to
review the Master Plan before making a more definite
statement .
The subelivision regulations with the attorney ' s reGcmc
rnendations were discussed briefly . They will be dise
cussed fully at the next meeting . The Planning Boars;.
will submit a resolution to the Town Board empoweriL ;
the Planning Board simultaneously with the approval of
a plat to modify applicable provisions of the Zoning
Ordinance subject to conditions set forth in Section 28 '
of the Town Law .

The Danby Economic Report was briefly explained by
Mr . Niederkorno He also stated that the basic concepts
of the General Plan will be presented at the next meeting
ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 10 : 15 by Chairman Thayer .
