Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee May 12,2022
All members present @5 PM
Members discussed ideas as to how to start our assignment ( no members have
experience with implementing a comprehensive plan).
Some discussion was held on sidewalks in the town, also the Farmland Protection Plan
from 2018 was discussed.
We suggested revising lot size to 2.4 acres minimum in the Ag district and discussed
septic &water requirements and increase set backs by 150 to 300 feet.
Suggest adopting Mixed Use Zoning along Tompkins St. from the city line. Also want to
adopt Mixed Use Zoning Along US RT 11 North between Cortland City Line and The Village of
Homer line.
There was discussion about the County's GIS Website and the Town Zoning Ordinance.
Discussed Comprehensive Plans Action Plan this outlines what should be acted on
immediately by this committee. Some discussion on each topic outlined in the plan was held.
Set next meeting for May 12 th
