TOWN OF CORTLANDVILLE
AQUIFER PROTECTION PERMIT
PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 178-46 of the Code of the Town of
Cortlandville, a public hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville,
County of Cortland, New York, at the Peter Alteri Jr. Municipal Garage located at 3587 Terrace
Road, Town of Cortlandville, New York, on November 16, 2022 at 5:00 p.m., concerning an
application for an Aquifer Protection Permit.
The application is by Route 13 Inc./Essex Steel Co. Inc. for the purpose of constructing a 72.25'
x 63' (4,551.75 sq. ft.) cold storage building with an attached 24'x 63' (1,512 sq. ft.) lean-to.
The property is described as 607 NYS Route 13, tax map #105.00-03-12.000, in the Town of
Cortlandville.
The property is located within the Aquifer Protection District (Area 1: Primary Aquifer Area) of
the Town of Cortlandville, is within the Wellhead Protection Area District (Zone lb), and is in a
Zoning District denominated I-1 (Light Industrial, Office, Business Park).
At the time and place of said hearing all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity
to be heard.
