DelVecchio Jeff Guido, Deputy Supervisor Greg Leach, Town Councilman David Donlick, Town Councilman October 14, 2022 Honorable Kathleen Burgess Secretary New York State Public Service Commission Three Empire State Plaza, 19'i' Floor Albany, NY 12223-1350 Re: Proposed increase in electric delivery and natural gas delivery revenue Dear Secretary Burgess: On behalf of the Town of Cortlandville, Town Board, and its residents, I would like to express strong opposition to the proposed changes filed with the Public Service Commission in May of 2022 to the annual electric and natural gas delivery rates and practices, to be effective May 1, 2023. NYSEG proposing to increase electric delivery revenue by approximately $274 million (a 31 % increase), and its natural gas delivery revenue by approximately $43.4 million (a 19% increase) will have a severe negative impact on the Town of Cortlandville. With the current state of our economy, this increase will not only add to the financial stress that many are experiencing but will also have a severe impact on residents and business owners' ability to maintain their standard of living. I strongly suggest that the Public Service Commission reject the proposed rate increase that has been placed before them and appreciate your time and attention to this correspondence. Respectfully, Tom Williams Town Supervisor The Town ofCordandvllle is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
