PUBLIC HEARING ON COMP PLAN EXTENDED TO MAY 26:
The Public Hearing opened on Tuesday, May 12,will remain open through Tuesday, May 26,for the purpose of receiving comments
on the draft Comprehensive Plan.
The meeting will be held at 10 Elm St.,Trumansburg NY 14886. Members of the public may join in person or remotely via Zoom
videoconference at hops://zoom.us/j/183862745 or+16465588656„183862745#.
All interested residents(or their agents/representatives)will be afforded an opportunity to submit written and/or oral comments at
that time.Comments may also be sent in advance to the Town Clerk at 10 Elm St.,Trumansburg NY 14886 or via e-mail to
clerk townofulyssesnygov by 5pm on May 26,2026.
A hard copy(paper)is available for viewing at the Ulysses Philomathic Library during regular hours.

FILM SCREENING FOR WORLD BEE DAY:
The Town of Ulysses Bee Friendly Community Committee will host a showing of the award-winning 2025 film The Little Things that
Run the World at 7pm on Wednesday May 20, 2026 at
at the Ulysses Philomathic Library in honor of World Bee Day.Admission is free and run time is 105 minutes.
SEEKING ENGINEER FOR BRIDGE&CULVERT PROJECTS:
The Town of Ulysses is soliciting Statements of Qualifications(SOQs)from licensed Professional Engineering(PE)firms experienced in
transportation infrastructure to provide bridge and culvert engineering analysis and design, project management,and grant writing
services on an as-needed basis.
Electronic SOQ submissions are due no later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday,June 9,2026. Link here for details.
PRIMARY ELECTION UPDATES:
A Primary Election will be held on Tuesday,June 23 to determine the following candidates for the Nov.3,2026 ballot.
• The Democratic candidate for:
o Ulysses Town Board
o NYS Comptroller
• The Republican candidate for Congress, District 19
Only those registered in the respective parties may vote in a primary.

Early voting will take place June 13-21 in two locations in Ithaca.

STATEMENT REGARDING HANTAVIRUS:
Tompkins County Whole Health (TCWH)is alerting the community to the spread of the Andes hantavirus among passengers and crew
on a cruise ship traveling in the Atlantic Ocean to areas in South America.The Andes hantavirus is found mainly in the long-tailed
pygmy rice rat native to Chile and Argentina.The travelers became infected by the Andes hantavirus by taking a trip which brought
them into extensive contact with environments in which the rodents and their droppings were present.
The spread of the virus is limited to those who traveled aboard this ship or were in close contact with those individuals;
individuals;passengers and crew,as well as close contacts,are being closely monitored by the World Health Organization(WHO)and
the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).WHO and CDC officials are conducting contact tracing to identify, notify and monitor those
who have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with an infectious disease.There is no risk to those who have not traveled
to this area or who have not had any contact with individuals from the ship.

ANNUAL WATER QUALITY:
The Annual Water Quality Report from Bolton Point has been released.This is applicable if you are in Town of Ulysses Water District
3 or 4 as your water comes from Bolton Point via the Town of Ithaca.
