EARTH CARE DAY:
Tru-Uly Earth Care Day will be held on Saturday, May 2,from 10am-1pm at the Trumansburg Farmers Market.
Activities include:
• Community trash pick up
o Free ice-cream coupons for participating youth under 18
o Bags,gloves, pickers,vests provided
• Food for purchase by JoJo Cooks
o Reusable dishes from Dish Truck
• Onsite Trash Art Build
• Music
• Tables from local groups and businesses sharing sustainability and conservation info
JCA Clean Up
The Jacksonville Community Association invites the public to assist with their trail and park clean up on Sat., May 2nd from 9am-12
noon. Refreshments will be provided for those who can come for any or all of the clean up. Please bring your own tools and gloves.

ROAD WORK:
Tompkins County Highway Department will be chip sealing County routes in the Town of Ulysses starting on May 4th at 7am. Expect
possible delays on Kraft,Jacksonville,Searsburg and Halseyville Roads.
One lane of traffic will be maintained,but drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes during this time.
PLEASE NOTE:Construction is subject to constant change(i.e.inclement weather, unexpected findings,etc.).

APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR TOWN BOARD VACANCY:
The Town Board is seeking to fill a vacancy through the end of this year(Dec.31,2026).
What does the Town Board do?
• General governance of the town
• Adopts annual budget
• Supports initiatives for the improvement of health,safety,and well-being of the general public
Meetings:
• 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7pm for about 2 hours;special meetings as necessary
• Prep for meetings takes about 1-2 hours

• At least 18 years of age
• Member of the electorate

TENTATIVE PROPERTY ASSESSMENTS RELEASED:
Tompkins County Assessment has released the 2026 Tentative Assessment roll(note-this document is in a giant list in tax map
order).You can easily search&view your(or anyone else's)property file and tentative assessment at this database. If you disagree or
have concerns,call or email TC Assessment or file a grievance before May 26.
GOLDEN PASS FOR NYS PARKS:
If you are a New York State resident 62 or older,you can obtain free vehicle access to most state parks, boat launch sites and
arboretums Monday through Friday(except holidays).You are also eligible for fee reductions to state historic sites and state-
operated golf courses.
No application required-simply present your valid New York State Driver License or New York State Non-Driver Identification Card at
the park entrance.

The Town of Ulysses is seeking proposals from qualified solar contractors for the design, procurement,installation,and
commissioning of an approximately 44.5-kW ground-mounted solar PV system at our Town Barn site,3888 Colegrove Road,
Trumansburg, NY 14886.
Key dates:
• RFP Issue Date:April 16,2026
• Optional Pre-Bid Site Visit:Wednesday, May 6,2026, 1:00-3:00 pm (3888 Colegrove Rd.)
