INVESTIGATING LOCAL WATER QUALITY:
The Community Science Institute will host its 2026 Data Jam on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 1-3pm
at the Borg Warner Room, Tompkins County Public Library.
Interested members of the public are invited to experiment with CSI's water database and test their
hypotheses. The event is free but registration is preferred.
Please bring a laptop and charging cable. If you don't have your own, you can check one out from the
library.

CAYUGA LAKE WATERSHED INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:
The Cayuga Lake Watershed Internship Program (WIP) offers paid internship opportunities for young
adults aged 18-25. Interns will gain insight into the fields of watershed protection, management, access
and education from a variety of perspectives.
Interns are hosted by partner organizations in line with their interests and skills and is meant to be an
enriching, engaging and enjoyable experience!
The program runs from early June to mid-August and positions are 20-40 hours per week.
A diverse pool of people from various socioeconomic, racial and gender identity backgrounds is sought.
The initial application deadline is March 9.

You can still get local produce in the winter-the Trumansburg Winter Farmers Market is held on Wed.

PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTIONS:
The deadline to apply for property tax exemptions is March 2.
Exemptions are available to income-qualifying seniors, disabled persons, veterans, and volunteer fire
